A Day of Fun, Food, and Togetherness

On Sunday, December 29, 2024, the Sudanese Community Association of Victoria (SCAV) hosted a fantastic family fun day at Altona Beach Park.

The Malak Foundation had the pleasure of attending this wonderful event, which brought the community together for an afternoon filled with joy, games, and delicious food.

The event was a much-needed opportunity for community members to relax and reconnect. With the beautiful backdrop of Altona Beach, families gathered from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, enjoying the fresh air, green spaces, and a vibrant social atmosphere.

Highlights of the Day

The program featured a variety of activities, including fun games and competitions for children that kept them entertained and engaged. The laughter and cheers of the kids filled the park, creating a lively and cheerful environment.

A major highlight of the event was the BBQ, complemented by a selection of home-cooked traditional Sudanese dishes. Attendees shared meals, exchanged recipes, and celebrated their cultural heritage through food. The aromas of grilled delicacies and spices added to the festive spirit of the day.
