Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for the Victorian Sick Pay Guarantee, individuals must meet the following criteria:

- Be 15 years or older

- Physically work in Victoria

- Have the right to work in Australia

- Work an average of 7.6 hours per week or more in an eligible job

- Lack access to paid sick and carer's leave entitlements at any job

Steps to Secure Sick Pay

Signing up for the program is a straightforward process, involving five simple steps:

1. Check eligibility and sign up

2. Provide proof of identity

3. Submit proof of work

4. Add bank details for payments

5. Make a claim when needed

What You're Paid:

From July 1, 2023, participants are paid the national minimum wage of $23.23 per hour. Before this date, the rate is $21.38 per hour. Participants can claim up to 38 hours within 12 months of signing up for the program.
