Clashes between Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)

HIGHLIGHT:

• Fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) continued with reports of clashes in new locations, including North and South Kordofan States.

• The UN Secretary-General continues to call on the parties to the conflict to stop fighting in heavily populated areas and allow civilians safe passages to access food, water and other essential supplies and evacuate from conflict-affected areas.

• Prices of food, fuel and other basic goods are reportedly skyrocketing, making critical goods unaffordable for many
  people.

• Civilians are fleeing areas affected by fighting in increasing numbers.
  With risks of gender-based violence rising and access to health care compromised.
