Sudanese Community Picnic January 2023

A Day to Remember: The First Community Picnic this year

It was a beautiful summer day when our community gathered at the park for the first-ever picnic hosted by Malak Foundation and Western Sudan Community. The sun was shining, and the birds were singing as community members laid out blankets and set up chairs.

We had a variety of delicious dishes to enjoy, including traditional Sudanese food, salads, fruit, and snacks. The smell of grilled meat and sausages filled the air, and everyone chatted and laughed as we feasted on the tasty spread.

But the food was just the beginning of the fun. The children played basketball, soccer, and other outdoor games and even organized a nature scavenger hunt for the kids. The laughter and smiles on everyone's faces made it clear that this was a day to remember.

The music was playing in the background thanks to the portable generator and sound system, and many types of delicious sweets were on offer.

Community members had a wonderful day reconnecting and chatting under the trees, and the park was filled with laughter and enjoyment.

As the sun set, we packed up our things and said goodbye to our new friends. It was a day filled with joy, community, and memories that would last a lifetime.

We can't wait to do it all again next year! And see you all at our next event.
